A woman of Delhi has been staging protest before the Sundargarh Collector’s office for last three days demanding that her husband be nabbed.

She alleged that her husband left her six months ago and also demanded financial compensation from him.

According to sources, the woman, identified as Bhabna  Prasad from Delhi, had come in contact with one Gaurav Prasad, a native of Bhojpur of Sundargarh, while both were working at HCL in east Gurgaon. Both had fallen in love and had married in the year 2015. But  Gaurav’s mother Saraswati, had not agreed with their marriage.

After 15 days of their marriage, both had come to Bhojpur to meet Gaurav’s mother. Staying there for 2 days, they had returned to Gurgaon.  Thereafter both Gaurav and Bhabna had stayed there togother for one year but on December 3, 2016,  suddenly, Gaurav had gone somewhere, leaving Bhabna.  Bhabna had gone to his father’s house. After vigorous search, when Bhabna could not trace Gaurav, she had lodged a complaint in Gurgaon police station in January 2017.

When Gaurav could know about this, he had called Bhabna to Bhojpur.  Bhabna had come to Bhojpur during February 2017 and Gaurav  after admitting his mistake, had requested Bhabna, to withdraw complaint against him from police station.  Bhabna had excused him and both thereafter had gone to Gurgaon to stay there but Gaurav used to leave Bhabna in regular interval and when Bhabna was lodging complaint before police, Gaurav was asking for excuse.

"Her husband is absconding. Our effort is on to nab him," said  Sundargarh Additional SP RN Batik.
