This was followed by his being felicitated by the Bombay Journalists’ Association in Mumbai on Sunday (March 4) for his investigative reporting.

Pati’s book was jointly inaugurated by New Zealand MP Kamaljit Singh Baxi and 2017 Miss World first runners-up Andrea Meza of the USA at the Foreign Press Club in New Delhi. The book says that democracy in practice is not of the people, by the people and for the people but of the rich, by the rich and for the rich.

The book also contains a chapter on the Odisha river disputes which rues that all are only concentrating on the Mahanadi issue ignoring those relating to Mahendratanaya, Bansadhara and Brahmani.
