After a long gap because of Covid pandemic situation, a meeting of Sahar Tali Anchal Milita Kriya Anusthan Committee (STAMKAC) was held recently at Govinda Vihar Kalyan Mandap under chairmanship of president Sanjib Kumar Patnaik. The meeting expressed strong resentment over delay in merger of villages and colonies on outskirts of Berhampur Municipal Corporation ( BeMC).
It was decided that committee members would call on Brahmapur MP Chandra Shekhar Sahu and MLA Bikram Panda and district Collector very soon and apprise them about situation as State Government is gearing up for panchayat and municipal elections. The STAMKAC would urge them to complete entire merger process in a prescribed timelimit, falling of which committee would be forced to restart to agitation. Among others, vice-president Harihar Nayak, Govinda Vihar Nagarika Parishad secretary Antaryami Behera, Neelanchal Nagar Development Committee secretary Jawahailal Patro participated in meeting.
