An adult deer was reportedly killed in the premises of the Aarti Steel and Power Company, 10 km from here, on Thursday morning. According to sources, the deer was killed and buried in the company premises, but the company authorities did not inform it to the Forest Department. On a tip-off, local DFO Arun Kumar Mishra rushed to the spot and seized the buried body of the deer.
This factory has covered certain jungle areas in which hundreds of wild animals reside.As per the sources, more than 40 deer have lost their lives in these areas. locals, nature lovers and wild animal activists demanded that the State Government free the wild animals from inside the fences of the company.
