With a prayer to save lives of people from the killer Covid-19 pandemic during its second wave, hundreds of devotees across the State offered lighted earthen lamps (Deep Daan) on Tuesday in temples, mutts and homes on the auspicious occasion of Nrusingha Chaturdashi, birth anniversary Lord Nrusingha.
The Deep Daan programme was arranged at the Shisu Ananta Ashram in Arilo, Shankarananda Mutt in Puri, Kalpataru Ashram in Rudrapur, Divine Life Society in Khandagiri, Ekamra Satyseva Anushthan and in numerous other places of worship and ashrams. “The Deep Daan was organised to dispel the darkness of delusion and usher in a path of divine light and save valuable human life,” said leading organiser Dr Aryakumar Jnanendra.
