Governor SC Jamir on Friday conferred the Ruchi Bharat Gaurav Samman to renowned linguist Padmashri Debi Prasanna Pattanaik and Ruchi Odisha Gaurav Samman to eminent sculptor Rabi Narayan Rath here at a function organised by Ruchi Pratibha Foundation here.
While Ruchi Bidyasagar Samman was given to State IAS topper Madhusmita Sahoo, Ruchi Barbati Krida Samman was conferred to Asian medal winner athlete Duti Chand and Ruchi Sisu Pratibha Samman to Indian Idol Junior finalist Aryan Dash.
The Governor too felicitated Jugal Kishore Rana of Bargarh district and Banita Hota of Ganjam for securing remarkable success in the matric examination with the Ruchi Pratibha Samman along with cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamir said such awards will really inspire others to do better in their respective fields. The Governor too released a special edition of ‘Ama Ruchi’ magazine.
Among others, School and Mass Education secretary Usha Padhee, former judge of Odisha High Court Arun Parichha, foundation president Sradhananda Jena were present.
