'Death in Pramila's house may be murder case'

Pradesh Congress Committee Media Cell chief and Former Minister Sarat Rout on Monday alleged unnatural deaths of any kind in ruling BJD politicians’ Government quarters are being termed as a case of suicide.

He demanded that a proper inquiry be made to unearth the truth behind the death of Surendra Rout at Binjharpur BJD MlA and former Minister Pramila Mallick’s quarters on Sunday. Sarat Rout told a Press conference here that there are several cases of unnatural deaths in the Government quarters of BJD politicians which are being coloured as suicidal cases without proper inquiry by the police.

The Congress leader said Surendra Rout’s death may be a murder case and not a suicide. He demanded to know that if Surendra Rout was involved in criminal cases, how he got accommodation in the house of a former Minister and present MlA.

Sarat Rout demanded that the Government cancel the allotment of Government quarters to those who are not staying in these quarters and living in their own houses.

The Government quarters are being misused by antisocial elements in the absence of their owners, he alleged.
