All the schemes announced by the BJD Government have lost their tracks. While the real beneficiaries are deprived, false ones are availing all the benefits. The Government is giving this scope for promoting corruption.
This was alleged by PCC president Niranjan Patnaik in a statement on Thursday. He said that in many cases, dead people of many families are getting Government help while genuine people are deprived. The entire governance system is fooling the public.
Citing the example of food security scheme, he said originally the Congress had raised the issue of thousands of bogus names in the list prepared for this scheme. Then in scrutiny, many names were deleted for having given false data. But many genuine families are still not getting ration cards.
Patnaik said around 2 lakh people who were included in the food security schemes have died. But their names have not been deleted from the list and their family members are getting rice. The Food Security Commission has raised this issue of serious corruption. Because of this, thousands of real applicants are waiting to avail the benefit. The Government is befooling people, saying it is doing everything for them.
