Raghav Tekariwal of Class-XI of the DAV Public School, Chandrasekherpur, received the 1st Odisha Zonal Rank Holder award CS Olympiad in the first International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO) 2016-17 at a programme held here on Friday.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) had successfully conducted the first CS Olympiad last year for XI and XII class students. The ICSO was conducted in association with the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) in India and abroad in which more than 36,000 students from 1,400 schools participated.
ICSI, Bhubaneswar Chapter Chairman CS P Nayak said that CS Olympiad has been established with the objective of enabling the student community to discover their potential in areas pertaining to Company Secretaryship and governance and identifying their interest to choose their stream of education.
Amongst others, DAV School Principal Dr KC Satapathy, Commerce and Economics faculty Indira Chatterjee, CS A Acharya and ICSI, Bhubaneswar Chapter Secretary CS RK Kar were present.
The 2nd ICSO for Academic Year 2017-2018 would be held on Jan 23 and January 30, 2018, informed ICSI Bhubaneswar In-Charge UC Mishra.
