An enforcement team of officers and staffs of the BDA, BMC and GA Department on Monday evicted unauthorised encroachment on a Government land allotted in favour of DAV Public School, Pokhariput under the Airport police station here on Monday.

Three RCC bathrooms, five AC shed houses, a half-constructed house up to roof level and a 250-ft long tin shed boundary wall were demolished. The eviction drive was undertaken without police force, informed a BDA release.

The eviction drive was carried out partly due to the strong opposition by encroachers. Out of two acres of land allotted to the DAV School, nearly one acre (43560 sq ft) was made free from encroachment.

GA Land Officer Manas Ranjan Samal and BDA Enforcement Officer-II, Pramod Kumar Patro and Liaison Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty were present.
