The DAV School of Business Management organised management event DSBM GENESIS 2013 here on Saturday in which around 30 leading schools and junior colleges of various districts of the State participated in the business quiz, paper presentation and AdMad Show.
The thrust objective was to create a platform for expression of thoughts, analysis through paper presentation entitled ‘’Indian economy at crossroads: Ways to move” where intellectual depths amalgamates with soft skills, Admad Show where creativity meets madness and creating a national platform for young quizzers to unleash their competency as well as to entrust the students of the institute with the responsibility of organising the entire event.
Chief guest Prof RK Bal from the Utkal University and guest of honour Dr DV Ramana of the XIMB gave their views on commerce and management education in international perspective. The inaugural ceremony started with the welcome address by DSBM Principal Dr DN Mishra, who laid emphasis on progressive thought and giving joy.
Six teams qualified for the final round of business quiz. The loyola School emerged as the winner and THE DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur the runners-up. The DAV Public School, Rourkela clinched the winner trophy, the DAV Public School, Burla and DAV Public School, Pokhariput bagged the 1st and 2nd runners-up trophies in the paper presentation session.
The winner of AdMad Show was the Delhi Public School, Angul. The 1st and 2nd runners-up were the DAV Public School, Unit-8 and DAV Public School, Pokhariput. The winners were felicitated with trophies and cash prizes by DSBM President MM Panda and Regional Director, Zone-11 of DM CMC Dr KC Satapathy.
