Former President of Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Elite and youth social activist Saroj Dash has been selected as the new Action Chair for Empowering Girls of Rotary International District 3262.
Dash has been working for a long time to protect and educate girls and make them self-sufficient. He has been honoured at the State and national levels for serving as the national convener of the social organisation Kanya Anmol Hai.
During the pandemic, the Rotary Elite has launched a series of programmes like "Gift for the Future", "Educational Excellence" and “Devi” to to protect girls and enhance their skills.
Dash thanked both Shekhar Mehta, who has recently taken over as Rotary International President for the current Rotary Year, and Santanu Pani, who has been appointed as the new District Governor of 3262.
