State Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das reviewed the Covid treatment in VIMSAR, Burla, Ashwini Covid Hospital and disclosed that a proposal for a new Swarna Covid Hospital in Sambalpur had got the approval of the CM.
The Sambalpur district Collector, SP, CDMO and Nodal Officer for Covid unit of VIMSAR Burla and other high level officials were present in meeting. Minister Das inquired about stock of Remdecivir and other essential medicines along with oxygen stock. Besides, he also discussed about ICU beds available with oxygen support and directed to take necessary steps for giving quality health services to people. The Minister informed approval of a proposed new Covid hospital by Chief Minister. Discussion was also made about number of doctors, nurse and anesthesia doctors to be given to Vikash management and requirement of 100 jumbo oxygen cylinders for new Covid-19 hospital.
He advised district Collector to write to State Government for immediate supply of oxygen cylinders to Sambalpur district for new hospital and take steps on a war footing basis to make new Covid hospital operational by June 15 to 20. He finally advised to expedite an awareness campaign for people to follow Covid-19 guidelines.
