The much-awaited darshan of deities at the Jagannath Temple here resumed on Wednesday after about nine months as temple was closed for devotees since March due to Covid-19 pandemic. On first day, families of servitors were allowed into temple with strict adherence to Covid-19 norms.
They will be permitted entry into shrine for next two days.The district administration has prepared a ward-wise schedule for people of Puri town for darshan of deities from December 26 to 31. From December 31 night to January 2, temple would remain closed in view of heavy rush of visitors to Puri on occasion of New Year.
