The second evening of the Sisupalgarh Mahotsav organised by the KAPOCH was a splendid combination of dance and song with Darshan Rawal of India's Raw Star fame dominating the scene and making his fans go crazy.
The event began with a group Odishi dance recital by students of the Jyoti Kala Mandir with their presentation of Ganesh Bandana. This was followed by a group Bharatnatyam recital by dancers of the Kalakarma, a Kolkata-based institution. With wise use of such a big stage and astounding body movements, their Shiva Tandav earned a huge round of applause.
Odisha's only fire juggling troupe Maruti Boys performed many fireworks and weapon tricks, leaving the audience spellbound.
In the next segment, Odisha's own singers along with Darshan Rawal enthralled the audience. Abhijit Mishra and Navia of Odisha sang Odia songs. Darshan then appeared on the stage and soon changed the spectator's mood. “Janam Janam…” and “Ranjhe ke dil se….” touched youngsters' chords immensely.
