Thousands of devotees came down heavily on the Gajapati district administration as they failed to have a glimpse of the Sunavesh of Shree Jagannath and Devi Subhadra for one long hour here on Friday due to lack of proper lighting facilities in the chariots.
The three deities were decorated with gold ornaments on their respective chariots. All the ornaments were escorted by a posse of armed policemen from the Parla Maharaja’s palace. But devotees only saw the Sunavesh of lord Balabhadra while the chariots of lord Jagannath sister Devi Subhadra were enveloped in darkness.
