Daringbadi block Chairperson Shubhrenti Pradhan has lost her position for allegedly hiding information on the number of her children.
Notably, Shubhrenti is the wife of G Udayagiri BJD MLA Saluga Pradhan
The Kandhamal District and Sessions Judge Court declared her election null and void on Tuesday
Hearing a petition filed by Tajungia panchayat samiti member Rada Mallick, District and Sessions Judge Goutam Sharma delivered his verdict.
Mallick had moved the court alleging that Shubhrenti Pradhan had hidden information on her boy child born in 1996. Pradhan, Earlier, she had two children.
In 2017, Mallick had lost the poll to Pradhan for the post of Daringbadi block Chairperson.
