Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his Government for alleged inaction on the complaints of Dalits and downtrodden people in the State, the National Confederation of Dalit Organisation (NACDOR) on Tuesday demanded that the Chief Minister take immediate step against those involved in land grabbing row.
“There are ample evidences where many influential people even senior BJD leaders have grabbed huge patch of Government land in various parts of State where despite repeated requests, a dalit does not get a land for shelter. For instance, land mafias have grabbed taken away land of an 80-year-old woman in fradulant manner in Kolathadia village in Banpur tehsil,” alleged NACDOR president Ashok Mallick.
“Though a FIR has been lodged at Banpur police station in this regard, the police is yet to take any action on it,” added Mallick.
