The Baidyanathpur police late on Tuesday night foiled a dacoity bid and arrested two of six miscreants while they were planning for a dacoity in the area.
The arrestees were identified as Manoj Achari of Kodala and Jagannath Nayak of Bhejiput.
Sources said that acting on a tipoff, a police team conducted the raid. Spotting the police, Manoj and his associates hurled bombs at the cops in a bid to escape from the spot.
But the police managed to nab two of them while others managed to flee from the spot. The police seized a sword, bombs, two iron rods and masks from their procession.
