The trouble for arrested mafia Dhalasamant brothers are mounting each day as police investigations continue to unearth new revelations linking the involvement of the brothers to several other old unsolved crimes.
According to latest reports, police are now planning to reopen the kidnapping and murder case of works contractor Sagar Panda. The body of Panda was retrieved from a riverside in the Cuttack rural areas in August 2012.
Although the rural police investigated into the case, it failed to get any clue on it and was forced to close the case after two years. Sources now say that the Commissionerate police have detected some clues about the case and the needle of suspicion is pointed towards the Dhalasamant brothers.
Reports further indicated that the police are now getting ready to obtain the concerned court's permission to reopen the investigations into the murder of Sagar Panda.
On the other hand, it has been learnt that the Commissionerate police are also contemplating to take the brothers and some of their associates on remand for custodial interrogations to unearth more details.
