The Regional Office of the Indian Metrological Department here on Friday said a cyclonic circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into a low pressure by November 3 and subsequently turn into a depression. Several parts of the State may get rainfall under its influence, the IMD said.
“A low pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on November 3. It is too early to predict the intensity of the low pressure, but it may turn into a depression. We are keeping a close watch on the system,” said IMD Regional Director HR Biswas.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the deep sea east of central Bay of Bengal on November 4.
The IMD has further forecast that after light rain and thundershower at isolated places in the State for the next two days, dry weather would prevail from November 3 to 4.
