The son of Meghananda Nayak, a senior officer of the State Home Department, has been arrested for creating a fake ID and posting obscene pictures of a girl in the social media site Facebook.
Khuswant Nayak, a student of Konark Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) at Jatni, allegedly used the fake account to post obscene pictures of the girl he was in love with in retaliation of the girl rejecting his love.
Incidentally, the girl, who hails from Chhattisgarh, upon discovering her pictures on Facebook, immediately lodged a complaint with the Raipur police in Chhattisgarh.
later, the Chhattisgarh police with the help of their Odisha counterparts arrested Khuswant from his residence in the city on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh police have taken Khuswant on transit remand to Raipur.
