The Court of Additional Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack convicted Bijaya Kumar Parija, partner of Asian Traders, Dolamundai, Cuttack and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of four years and pay fine of Rs 50,000 and in default, undergo RI for a period of six months.
It relates to Cuttack Vigilance PS case registered and charge sheeted against Parija and others in connection with showing of undue official favour to private firms by sanctioning loan on the basis of false and fabricating documents for obtaining pecuniary benefits.
