At the age of 17, he has been acknowledged as an international fiction writer. Currently, he is working in collaboration with American author Pam Russ on a fiction novel based on mystery and adventure.
Subhransu Das, a resident of Rajabagicha in Cuttack, has received praises from various quarters for his extraordinary talent.
While five-year-old, Subhransu had realised his fascination with books and started reading them. With age, he developed a knack for writing stories and poems himself. Soon, he started sharing his pieces on various social media platforms. He was part of a WhatsApp group of internationally-acclaimed writers, where he often shared his writings. One day, opportunity came knocking at his door when Pam Russ came across some of his stories and poems. Impressed by his skills, she contacted him and invited him to join her in writing the second edition of ‘Stealing The Blue Butterfly Diamond From West Africa’. The novel, like its first edition, would be published by Amazon.
With the novel forwarded for printing, Subhransu, a Class-XII student at the Delhi Public School (DPS) Kalinga, would be the first Indian teenager to have written for an Amazon publication.
Sharing his experience, Subhransu said he is delighted to receive the recognition and is motivated to continue writing more and more. He aspires to become a professor in English literature in future, he added.
