Three more shops were set ablaze at Soro in Baleswar district late on Tuesday evening even as the curfew was in force.
Earlier in the morning when there was no report of violence, Baleswar SP Niti Sekhar had announced that the dusk-to-dawn curfew would continue until further orders.
Due to the Eid festival on the day, there was a relaxation in prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC between 8 am and 2 pm.
The number of arrests in connection with the group clashes during the Ganesh idol immersion has increased to 13.
The SP also said that police forces would continue to take their positions as before.
Tension has prevailed in Soro town since Friday night following violence during immersion of lord Ganesh idols. Prohibitory orders have been clamped since Saturday morning.
