Central University of Orissa (CUO) Vice-Chancellor Prof Sachidanada Mohanty will accompany President Pranab Mukherjee as part of a five-member education delegation on a State Visit from September 14 to 20 to Cyprus, luxembourg and Germany.
The delegation will explore avenues for strengthening educational and cultural ties with the three nations.
Prof Mohanty, a distinguished academic and educationist, who earlier served the University of Hyderabad and may other institutions with distinction, terms this opportunity as an exceptional one and the offer a great honour for the Central University of Orissa, Koraput and indeed the entire State of Odisha.
During his visit abroad, Prof Mohanty would do his best, he said, to gather some of the finest insights in educational policy and planning from the three nations for the benefit of the region.
