Union Minister of Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank would launch helpline ‘Bharosa’ (08046801010) for the Central University of Odisha (CUO) here to provide voluntary services to university students in the wake of Covid-19 for enhancing their mental wellbeing.
Students of any university of any part of Odisha can dial this number. The Bharosha will be launched via a videoconference by the Union Minister in presence of State Minister of Higher Education Arun Sahoo and CUO Vice-Chancellor Prof I Ramabrahmam and Registrar Prof Asit Kumar Das.
Meanwhile, a pilot of the CUO Bharosa helpline was launched by Koraput district Collector Madhusudan Mishra on Tuesday.
The CUO has taken the initiative in collaboration with two frontline organisations, Association of Health Psychologist (AHP) and Support for the Emotional Rehabilitation of Virus Victims (SERV).
