The Central University of Orissa, Koraput has got free sanction of lease of 430.37-acre Government land with cess exemptions at Sunabeda after seven years of its establishment.
University Vice-Chancellor Prof Sachidananda Mohanty on Wednesday expressed gratitude to the State Government for the exemptions.
“We are equally grateful to Chief Minister Navin Patnaik, the Chief Secretary, and Home and Revenue Secretaries for assuring help regarding the pending issues,” said the VC in a statement.
Earlier the VC and Human Resource Development Secretary had requested the State Government to waive out all the dues and sanction lease of Government land on free of cost basis.
