The Department of Education, Central University of Orissa, Koraput, organised a seminar lecture on "Knowledge Framework and Other Pedagogical Connections of International Baccalaureate Programme Across the Curriculum" at its Sunabeda campus on September 12.
The programme was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Sachidananda Mohanty as chief guest. The seminar lecture was delivered by Prof Surendra Singh Chauhan, Professor of Education, Indore. Dr Ramendra Kumar Padhi, HoD I/C, Department of Education, delivered the welcome address.
Prof Mohanty in his inaugural address congratulated students and faculty of Education Department for organising a successful seminar lecture. He highlighted the upcoming challenges for students and how they can overcome them. Prof Chauhan explained the merits and demerits of international curriculum. He said, “International curriculum is very sound pedagogically, intellectually challenging and emotionally enriching. It is a worldwide network of international schools.” Prof Chauhan interacted with the students and faculty members of the university and answered their queries. Padhi in his welcome address highlighted various activity of the Department of Education.
