Gracing the 20th foundation day of the Utkal University of Culture here on Friday, Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal called upon the students to uphold the dignity of the university and involve themselves in culture development programmes.
Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda spoke about the importance of the university and assured all support from the State Government for its development.
University Vice-Chancellor Prof Kamal Kant Misra solicited cooperation of all stakeholders to make the university one of the premiere institutions of the country.
Tourism and Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahy and Culture Director Bijay Kumar Nayak also spoke on the occasion.
University Registrar Rajashree Singh presented the annual report and highlighted the activities undertaken in the university throughout the year. The university’s annual newsletter ‘Sanskruti’ was released by the guests.
