The wife of Santosh Kumar Dalabehera, Desk Officer of Culture Department at the Lok Seva Bhawan, on Sunday alleged that her husband has gone missing for a month allegedly due to harassment by senior officials.
Manjaluta sought intervention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and 5T Secretary VK Pandian for tracing her husband.
In a letter, Manjulata alleged that though she filed a missing complaint with the Saheed Nagar police a month back, they are yet to take any action. She urged the Chief Minister and the 5T Secretary to direct the police to take appropriate steps so that her husband can be traced soon.
She apprehended that Santosh might have taken any wrong action for work pressure put on him by his higher officer. She even expressed suspicion that he might have been kidnapped.
According to Manjulata, her husband had not revealed the name of the harassing officials, but he had said that a woman officer always used to harass him over work-related issues.
“My husband did not have any enmity with anyone. We cannot think of the reason behind his disappearance. We suspect he could have been kidnapped or has left on his own to escape the work pressure,” she added.
