Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Thursday stressed on early completion of Jayadev Vihar-Nandankanan parallel road on a priority basis to ease traffic congestion on this route.
After an on-the-spot review, he directed the Works Department and the BDA to make the road traffic-conducive. The two roads being developed running parallel on both left and right sides of the busy road would ease the mounting traffic problems.
On the left, construction is underway on a 12-km stretch from Sundarpur on Chandaka-Khandagiri road passing through Pathargadi-Infcocity-Lumini Vihar-Saileshree Vihar-Rail Vihar and connecting Xavier Square.
