While the nationwide Swachh Bharat campaign was launched on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati along with many senior officials of various departments took up brooms to launch the mission at the Secretariat here on Sunday.
“The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a very welcome step to keep our environment and surroundings clean and hygienic. All the officials of the Secretariat have agreed to devote at least one hour daily for cleanliness purpose in their respective offices,” said the Chief Secretary.
Stating that the cleanliness campaign would be a regular feature, the Chief Secretary said a comprehensive cleanliness campaign would be carried out in the whole premises of the Secretariat.
