The 57th Raising Day of CRPF 4th Battalion was celebrated in a grand way on Thursday and Friday here. During the celebrations, the CRPF campus was open to the general public. There was a heavy rush at the canteen where household articles were sold at very cheap price.
Various food stalls and play stations were enjoyed by kids and adults as well.Senior officials PVK Reddy, B Srinivasan, TN Khuntia, Rajesh Dhakarwal graced occasion as guests.
During the closing ceremony, a colorful cultural programme was organised. The evening function was inaugurated by Santosh Dhakarwal.
A welcome dance was presented by Brahma Kumari child artists. Sambalpuri group dance was also performed by Aishwarya Priyadarshini Group.
Among others, religious heads of the district Chandra Pujhari of Majhihgariani temple, Balunkeswar Das of Jagannalth temple, Sayed Noori Khan of a local mosque, Pastor Andrew Bacheli of the lutheran Church, Rishipal Singh of a local Gurudwara and scribes Badal Tah, Ramdas lima, Suresh Padhi, Deepak Prusty, educationist Govind Rath from GIST, St Xavier School principal Dr Sunita Devi and classical art teacher laxmi Narayan Behera were honored.
For the best performance, artists Ansul Zindal, Gayatri Patra, Anuradha Panigrahi, Jayasree Thripathy, Kamal Ranjan Sahoo, Kadambani Trivedi, Sruti Sree Sahu, Srusti Sahu, Aishwarya Priyadarshini, Kiran Behera and group, Somnath Mishra and group and Banita Himirika and group were felicitated.
