A CRPF Jawan was arrested by the Bonai police in Sundargarh district on Friday for attempting to eliminate a family due to his previous enmity.
The accused identified as Harekrushna Kishan (43), a native of Kantasara village under the Bonai police station, is posted with the CRPF in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.
Police arrested Kishan based on the FIR of one Sunita Sethy (34), a native of Talita village under the Bonai police station. In the complaint lodged on Thursday Sunita alleged that that Kishan along with another person reached her house on Wednesday midnight.
He then poured petrol on her shop-cum-residence and on her Scooty and set them on fire. But somehow she and her husband wake up in time and screamed for help. A few locals came to their rescue and doused the fire. But Kishan and his friend had fled from the spot.
