Personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday busted a Maoist dump having explosives and firearms near Kathoguda of the Niyamgiri area in Rayagada district, police sources said.
After getting reliable tipoff about storage of some objectionable material near Kothaguda, the CRPF busted the dump and recovered three grenades, two grenade fuses, four gelatin sticks (125 mg each), an electric detonator, Maoist banners and two SBMl guns from the spot.
Search operations have been intensified in the forest areas of Niyamgiri to trace more dumps and camps of the ultras, said the police sources.
