The 4th Battalion of the CRPF, Rayagada has adopted a tribal village, Adabadi, under Kalyansinghpur block in Rayagada district.
The authorities revisited various Central schemes like Ujjwal Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana, Soil Health Card scheme, Swachh Bharat and several health and loan schemes.
The battalion has been distributing teaching and learning materials, sports equipments, household utensils and organising health camps in several hinterland villages in the area.
CRPF Second in Command MK Sicon, Inspector Mukesh Kumar and Sub-Inspector BR Mishra along with local PS IIC Kapileshwar Behera (IIC) and SBI Branch Manager Prasanta Kumar made villagers aware about several Government schemes and facilitated filling up of forms for the villagers. While 251 forms have been filled up by the officials present benefitting villagers, 169 benefits have been given to villagers on the spot and the rest 82 are to be followed up.
Adoption of an entire village like Adabadi and initiating govt schemes for leftout families has once again proved that this coveted para-military is concerned about keeping law and order in the area and holistic development of villages, said PRO Tejaraj Mishra.
