State Commission for Child Rights Protection (CRPC) member Sandhyabati Pradhan recently visited Jagatsinghpur and reviewed execution of several
schemes under the National Policy for Children (NPC)-2013 in the district at a high-level review meeting held at the district Collectorate.
Speaking to mediapersons, Pradhan said the NPC encompasses protection of children from of all forms of abuses and building them strong in all aspects; be it physically, mentally and morally. She appealed all stakeholders to implement the policy strictly in district.
Replying to queries on supply of low quality food to Anganwadi centres in several blocks across the district, the CRPC member assured to launch a probe into the matter and necessary action to be taken against the officials involved in the irregularity. Collector BK Upadhaya was present among others.
