While the Haryana police launched a manhunt to nab elusive Honeypreet Insan, actress and adopted daughter of self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim, a lookalike duo was spotted during Goddess Durga idol immersion ceremony here on Sunday.
The entire crowd danced to the tune of songs performed by the two artists portrayed as Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim and the papa’s angel Honeypreet at Janpath in Bhubaneswar.
It could sound weird, but many were puzzled to find the duo in attire of two controversial characters, one a rape convict and the other absconding.
Honeypreet, a most wanted woman by the Haryana police, is charged with provoking riots in August after Ram Rahim’s rape conviction. She has been on the run since August 25 when Ram Rahim was convicted for rape of two Ashram inmates.
