Though Dhanua and Kadua river works under Nimapara drainage subdivision have to be completed before June, 2018, the progress of the works has not been satisfactory so far.
The department in Nimapara in last three years has been digging again and again the same drain, the locals alleged. The levelling work and the estimates for the works have not been done before the commencement of works.
Quality is not maintained in construction of bridges, check dams and guard walls, where low-quality iron rods and cements have been used.
The department is also hiding the documents at the time of answering RTI applications. The department has given RTI information to one Somanath Patra where huge mismatches have been noticed. The statements of assistant engineer and executive engineer of the department do not match. In some places, engineers have been working for last 17 years but the department is not transferring them.
The best administrator awardee, Chief Minister of Odisha is giving slogans for PC free society but his own department has been plundering crores of rupees for last few years in Nimapara. Also, the Vigilance department, which is headed by the Chief Minister, has been silent over the matter.
