Sundargarh Vigilance arrested a former clerk of Sundargarh Sub-Collector office on Saturday for allegedly accumulating disproportionate assets, besides forgery. He was forwarded to Sambalpur Vigilance Court the same day.
A search operation on July 26 last was conducted in seven different locations in Sundargarh.
The accused Rabi Ratan Khilei (55), a native of Katnidih under Sabdega tehsil in Sundargarh, is currently posted at Block Development Office at Koira. He was transferred from the Sub Collector office in Sundargarh. To Bisra block office in July and thereafter to Koira.
His immovable assets were worth `1,21,85,813 while movable assets were worth `10,49,548. The vigilance sleuths had seized cash of `3,048 from Khilei’s house during search operation.
Khilei had occupied a 50-decimal plot by fraud from a ST person by giving `50 lakh, though its value would be worth several lakhs more. later, he had constructed a sprawling house by spending `71 lakh. Khilei is also accused of arranging fake death certificate of Gada Sa even if Sa is alive.
