The Vigilance police on Thursday conducted raids on the houses of Assistant Engineer Tankadhar Kalo of Puintola block in Balangir district on the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets.
The Vigilance officials simultaneously raided his residential house at Bad Dumermunda, paternal house at Belapada village in Sambalpur district, his office chamber inside the BDO office at Puintala block in Balangir district, his father-in-law’s house at Kundukela in Sundargarh district, his brother’s house at Kolabira in Jharsuguda district and a rented room at Postal Colony in Balangir.
During the search, movable and immovable assets in the name of Kalo and his family members amounting to more than Rs1.14 crore were detected.
