The Vigilance police on Saturday conducted house searches of Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Bhubaneswar DFO Mahadeo Badaik, OFS, on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and detected his assets worth about Rs 1.12 crore.
The Vigilance sleuths conducted simultaneous raids on Badaik’s residence in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, parental house at village Jadakodar in Rourkela and office chamber in the premises of the EIC.
During search, the sleuths detected a triple storied building of 48, 85, 000 in Sishu Vihar in Bhubaneswar, double storied building in Panposh in Rourkela of Rs 17,07,242 , two plots in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar worth Rs 13,07, 520 and gold ornaments worth Rs 4,88,000 , besides various other costly household goods.
