Vigilance officers on Wednesday conducted raids on houses and office rooms of Brahmapur Municipal Corporation Jamadar laxman Charchi on the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets in Brahmapur.
Charchi’s residential house and rented house at laxminagar, parental house at Khalasahi in Ankuli and office room in Brahmapur were simultaneously searched on the strength of search warrant issued by the court.
During searches, the Vigilance officers detected movable and immovable assets worth of Rs 1,06,89,090 in Charchi’s and in the name of his family members.
laxman Charchi joined as Jamadar in Brahmapur Municipal Corporation in 1993 and continuing as such.
