The Vigilance police on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids on the houses and office of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) Section Officer (SO) Bibhuti Bhusan Ray on the allegations of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
During the raid, assets worth Rs 1,38,08,773, which includes two triple-storied buildings at Rasulgarh and Jharpada in Bhubaneswar, one under construction building at Rasulgarh, a four-wheeler and a two-wheeler, deposits worth Rs 44,50,053 and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 7,00,636 were found in possession of Ray and his family members.
Further inquiry was in progress.
