A 27-year-old youth, Kedar Kumar Pradhan’s mutilated dead body was found floating in the Dantuani river here on Monday. The ill-fated youth had gone missing in the river near Keredaga as a crocodile pounced on him while he was going to wash his leg in order to offer Puja to the presiding deity, Bila Mangala.
locals with the help of police fished out the body from the river. The Rajnagar police later sent the body for postmortem to the Ali CHC, informed Rajnagar PS IIC Sitakantha Kanungo.
Kanungo said Kedar and his younger brother had on Sunday gone to the Bila Mangala temple to offer Puja. While they were into the river to clean their hands and legs, the crocodile pounced on the leg of Kedar, he added.
