Criminal Ranjit Barala alias Nandu, who had been absconding from the village after beating police personnel, was arrested by the Tirtol police on Friday night from his sister-in-law’s house at Balikani village under Kujang block.
Moreover, the police seized a sword allegedly used while assaulting cops and a few stolen articles from his possession.
The police informed that after committing a crime, Nandu moved to his sister’s in-laws' house on Thursday night. Some locals informed the Kujang police about his presence in the village. The Kujang police along with their Tirtol counterparts raided Nandu’s sister-in-law’s house and picked him up.
