The CPI(M) and Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) activists on Tuesday organised protest rallies here demanding a rollback of the power tariff hike. Demanding a CBI probe into the irregularities committed by the Southco, the CPM activists led Basanta Nanda and Kailash Sarangi held a meeting and made people aware about the illegal tariff hike. The SUCI (Communist) activists under the leadership of Somanath Behera, P Siva Prasad Reddy, Kartika Charana Mohanty, Sibani Shankar Mishra and Rejendra Sahoo reached the RDC office in a cycle rally. They started their rally from Kamapalli. They submitted a five-point charter of demands to the RDC.
