The Bharatiya Go Kranti Mancha would organise Gobardhan Go Hunker Rally here on January 18 to press for fulfilment of their various demands, including declaration ‘Gomata’ (cow) as ‘Rashtamata’ (mother of nation).
The rally would be held at the Unit-VI High School Ground here from 10 am to 2 pm. Swami Gopalmani Maharaj, who has been spearheading a movement for protection of cows across the country, would inaugurate it. The maharaja has so far organised eight such rallies in different States.
A team of Sadhus lead by Swami Gopalmaniji will present a five-point memorandum to the Governor, Chief Minisster, Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Minister.
The other demands are creation of a separate department for animal resources, prohibition of chemical fertiliser and use of cow dung in farm sector, use of cow dung gas as fuel, cooking gas and provision of cow milk in MDMs and prohibition of Jersy cow rearing and complete stoppage of cattle trafficking. The Manch has urged people to participate in the rally in large numbers.
