The INS Chilka has commenced Covid-19 vaccination drive for its frontline workers (FLWs).
On Sunday, Commodore NP Pradeep, Commanding Officer INS Chilka and Naval Officer-in-Charge (Odisha), became the first person in the above 50 years category to receive the vaccine.
All service personnel in Station Chilka are being vaccinated. INHS Nivarini, the Naval Hospital located within the Naval Base Chilka, has been conducting the vaccination drive since January 18. Administration of the second dose of the vaccine to all healthcare workers (HCWs) of the Naval Base would commence from February 18. The vaccines have been provided by the Khordha district health authorities.
